The flagship of the range, the first Escalade full-size SUV was launched just two short decades ago and has rapidly established itself as a benchmark in the luxury SUV segment. For 2019, the Escalade is available in standard and extended-length Escalade ESV models, with the latter featuring a 356 mm longer wheelbase and approximately 518 mm greater overall length. The increased length enhances space for third-row passengers and more than doubles the cargo space behind them.
The 2019 Escalade is offered in Premium Luxury and Platinum trims. A new Sport Edition is also available on the Premium Luxury variant from 2019. Powered by a powerful yet efficient 6.2L V-8 engine, rated at an SAE-certified 420 horsepower (313 kW) and of 621 Nm torque, the 2019 Escalade offers sprightly performance despite its roomy proportions. Another first for any luxury SUV is the 2019 Escalade’s modern 10-speed transmission which delivers a fine balance between dynamics and fuel efficiency.
